    thats a tricky question

those that mels posted are a fairly good post and you would be best going for new ones if you can mate

just remember to run them in nice and easy over a period of say 30-40 miles progressively increasing the braking (no hard braking) to prevent the new ones warping

    Re: at discs

David Silver usually has genuine Honda discs for about 60 pounds each (often cheaper than dodgy aftermarket ones).

I think the minimum thickness is stamped on the disc somewhere.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

I think it was 3.5mm since mine was 3.0mm from the thinnest point of it. I bouhgt EBC discs. They were the cheapest I could find.

I've still got my 130,000 mile disc hanging on my garage wall as a souvenir. It has the words 'min thk 4mm' stamped into the centre of it.

I replaced it with an EBC disc which was fine and cheap too.

The front disc EBC replacements were rubbish though, not only do they rust like mad, but they don't work in the wet, even with the recommended pads. I will be replacing my current OE Honda discs (one has warped as usual) with Honda again now that the cost has come down to reasonable levels.
