There's no such thing as an AFRICAN TWIN Sir!
We only deal with AFRICA TWINS here!
I can't imagine the weight will be much of an issue, depending on what you intend to do (especially two-up)
Are we talking two-up, plus loads of camping gear, luggage, etc etc, OR just two-up and pottering around enjoying a rideout?
There are other bikes that would be more capable, but none have the allure of an AT; but I guess you know that, otherwise you wouldn'y be here asking!
Good Luck
Bob
Hello Jaydee,
I ride two up every day on my RD07A and no probs at all - you might want to do a couple of turns on your rear shock to make the ride a bit more stiff.
hope this helps![]()

I did a weekend in the Lakes last year with the boss on the back, im 15 and she's about 10 stone plus 3 givi boxs and all the camping kit (3 man tent for her kitchen) and had no problems at all,
We went over all the passes round there and it handled great,
All i did was give the rear suspention a couple of turns to stiffen it up.![]()
ok many thanks for this.
