Africa Twin Coming To Canada
hello everyone.this is a small note letting you all know that i bought an AFRICA TWIN. it's a 1993 and it belonged to ROLY who flew it to buenos aires and spent 3 months riding it across south and central america. he did not want to fly it back so he sold it to me and it got shipped out today .i hope to have it in 1 week . i would like to see pics of other AT'S as i want to get some goodies for mine. i did buy the METAL MULE panniers that he had and he let me have some extras that he was carrying on the trip ( spare regulator, bulbs, extra front tube etc.) the bike has crashbars already but i want a headlight protector and if possible RIKY CROSS . better ,nicer hand guards as well. anyway i am very excited and hope to find some other canadian @ owners. i know GSPD from calgary has one .anyone else in canada?? maybe this was not a small note after all but hey I'M EXCITED.

Re: Africa Twin Coming To Canada
Hello Fee - welcome to the 'Brotherhood'
Like BobA says - pretty much anything that has been done / can be done / even thought of...........for the Africa Twin will be on this forum somewhere - spend a bit of time browsing through it. But beware - it can get very expensive if you read too much........... Couple of suggestions for what you are looking for: Handguards - if you don't like the standard Honda ones - then the favourites are Acerbis or the BMW R1150GS handguards. Here's a photo of some of the Italian forum members @'s with different Acerbis guards on: ![]() Here's my @ with the BMW guards on: ![]() ![]() For the headlight guard you have quite a few options Powerbronze do lens guards which are basically a pair of polycarbonate discs that you mount over the headlight lens. These are available in a variety of colours. Here's a set in dayglow yellow ![]() Touratech do both a polycarbonate guard and a mesh guard or there is the Riky Cross upper fairing guard to which you can add their headlight guard. Here's one on my @. ![]() Anyhoo - use the search tool and have a ball................

Re: Africa Twin Coming To Canada
Hi will you be riding to the other end of Young Street on your @?
Good luck with your project I keep getting offered Jobs in Canada, why don't Canadians want to drive Trucks? Got family in OT who always get me a Motorbike to ride form the local dealer when we visit. Have you been to Radisson and Fort George always fancied going there on a bike. At 2 $ to the £ we may move out one day. Go easy A3 |

Re: Africa Twin Coming To Canada
Hey thats a smashing bike. What panniers and frame do you have on it. Do you have a picture of the back of the bike looking at the exaust. Just want to see if the panniers are cut around the exhaust..
