    Problem with touratech pannier frames

Having spent ages waitinng (in vain) for a secondhand pair to come along, I finally bit the bullet and bought some new Touratech frames for my RD07......I'm now trying to fit them.

using no more than my uselessly inadequate tool kit to bolster my pathetic DIY knowhow, I fell at the first fence

The instructions said to remove the heat guard from the end of the exhaust pipe. The only thing I can think this is is a guard made of wire (on the offside of he pipe) yet the piece I am to replace it with (supplied by Touratech) does not seem to fit and replace it. Can anybody either describe (using real laymens terms) or preferably send a fool proof photo, of what they are talking about.

Your help would be much appreciated.

    Rick

    Bingo

thats great, thanks for the elp. Now I just have to overcome incompetence and a general dislike of all things mechanical.

Appreciate the time for the photos.

Seconded, looks great for avoiding woodland snipers too.
