Hope some one can cast some light on my latest problem. When I drive above 80mph my trip meter goes blank and resets its self to zero. It works without any probs below that speed but as soon as I hit 80 it goes blank. HELP. The bike doesnt appear to have any probs at that speed just the trip going blank. May be its reminding me that Ive gone beyond the national speed limit.

possibly down to vibration and a loose connection ? 80 might just be the resonant frequency for something? Just a thought. Either that or they're out to get you !

I'm with fatowl on this one - I dont recall seeing any complicated chip type stuff that could get confussed by conflicting or out of range signals at a certain speed and throw a wobbler shutting the thing down, so loose connections would be my first route for curing it as well.....
