Exclamation RD03 / RD04 owners in Guildford or prepared to travel?

I've been contacted by Simon Bowen of T.W.O magazine he wants by the looks of it an RD03 / RD03 to borrow for a day next week Tue / Wed.
If we're successful the site gets a mention, and you will obviously be able to feel proud that your bike is featured in the magazine. Please PM me and I will pass your details on to Simon.
    Cheers
    Dave

    Hi
I'm writing a series of articles for T.W.O magazine which are mild 'tests' of retro/classic machinery from the mid-'70's to mid-'90's. I am looking for an early Africa Twin to partner the Yamaha Super Tenere, and aim to shoot the bikes in the Guildford area next Tues/Weds. There is a beauty in my street but it's too new! - I'm after a clean, early, original example and would (depending on location) need the bike for 1 day. It would be fully insured by TWO and I'd also need to photograph and interview the owner.
    Thanks

I'm only an hour away. They can borrow mine but I am too busy to take it to them as I have a magazine to produce and we will have lost the bank holiday. I have a new hagon shock they can fit to it if they want too, as I doubt I'll have had time.

If they can give me another bike for the day I could ride over there first thing and come back on their bike. I can go back to get it on Wednesday.
Give TWO a nudge about our Longest Day event while you're at it.
I'll put the good crash bars and nice plastics on for show. Might even clean her (or do you think they'll want the Zebra?).

They are borrowing mine on Wednesday. Better get the cleaning kit out then.

Re: RD03 / RD04 owners in Guildford or prepared to travel?

Well, Whealie has volunteered his RD04, it would have been SO nice if one of us could have offered an RD03 for a side-by-side comparison by a UK magazine journo'.

I would happilly volunteer my RD03 or RD04, but both are in parts at the moment, missing MOT's.

So come on, any RD03 owners wanna put themselves on the map, hopefully get an amazing write-up, and in doing so, preserve or enhance the value of early Africa Twins??? THERE MUST BE SOMEONE OUT THERE?

I reckon this'll be another kick up the ar$e for Honda to sharpen their pencils and give us what we've been asking for. Surprisingly, factories DO read the UK press, as one of my menial tasks when working in MotoGP was to send copies of MCN and Mags out to Japan regularly.

    Come on you lot!

If they volounteered to collect mine and bring it back (in 1 piece) they could borrow Old Bess. .............(the bike , NOT the wife).
