    AT Big-Bore Pistons

Anyone out there know where to get pistons to big-bore the AT? Or anyone know anything about big-boring the AT?
I've asked this question a couple of times before and had a few answers, but nothing of any real use.
People always seem to mention Wiseco - well they don't do AT pistons.
Someone said there was an article about someone big-boring they're AT in an old MCN. Checked that, no help whatsoever.
STF and African Queens both do big-bore kits, but you have to send your entire engine to them for the job. And the price is eye-watering. And, they won't even tell you what pistons they use.
So, after going half way round the world, I've finally cracked it and my big-bore 80bhp AT will shortly be born. Anyone out there interested in doing the same?

Sure. I´m interested about hearing how you did it. Those Wiseco pistons are for NT650 that you mentioned before. But if I remember right there no significant displacement increase there.

    Re: AT Big-Bore Pistons

Well, STF in Germany mentioned a company in the States where they got their pistons. No-one had heard of them, seems they don't exist. But good old JD Hord at Hordpower mentioned JE Pistons. They make drop-forged stuff to order, for everything from NASCAR to Moto X.
So I emailed them for details. 4 pistons, 2 at one size and 2 slightly larger as spares in case of a rebore in the future. Price $750. That's less than £100 per piston.
I'm about to order but wondered if anyone else was interested in doing the same thing, maybe the unit price could come down if more were ordered. Whatever, it's still cheap for forged pistons made to order.

And 80bhp? Well around 78 to be precise. Check out the STF website and the power curves for their 840 AT. And with only 2 cylinders.

Sounds good can you hyperlink stf and the mericuns and we can peruse.
80 brake is still a big jump, but i do love good engineering/bodging. mel
Theres nothing better than the smell of a drop forged piston first thing in the morning

Wow I might be interested, who are you planning to use to do the actual work? And how much will that cost?

On the stf.at I can only find the power curve for Kit 2 which is 70 bhp and 80 nm torque.

what size pistons, 2mm OS ??? and what compression ratio ??. Do you have to resleeve and bore the crankcases or is it just a bore out the standard liners set up ??.

Do they come with rings, gaskets and gudgeons etc ??
