New to the site - Hello.

Hi, firstly can i say that we are glad we found this site - it looks great.
We are hoping you can give us plenty of advice as we are planning a big trip on an AT. We need technical advice - what breaks - what needs checking - what prep is particular to the AT. We have not as yet bought our bike, still looking but we have decided that we don't want a GS. Is any year of bike better than others! We know about the fuel pump issue but any more advice on that would be good.
We plan to ride through Europe,Syria,Iran,Pakistan,The KKH,India and Nepal and back. Kind of following in the foot steps of Adam Lewis (The short way Round) who is a personal friend of ours.
If any of you know of a good AT for sale please let us know, we don't mind cosmetically tatty but with reasonable miles.

Hi there and welcome to the site, there are loads of bits here that I think you are going to find useful. First the forsale and wanted section, if anyone has an AT for sale that's where you will find it.

If you are planning on travelling we have a travel section where you can post questions, search for travel tips or even post your own travel experiences there

You have already found the Africa Twin bit, which is very useful when you manage to find a bike that suits you

and we also have a very lively chatter section which is where all the socialising, discussions and general banter goes on

If you need any help there is a bit just for that as well problems with the forum or you can just give one of the moderators or admins a shout.
