Reduced HP Numbers

Hi everybody! I'm totally new here, current proud owner of an XL600V '88, but very anxious to get an XRV on my hands.

Since quite a lot of ATs (of mainly German origin) with reduced horse power have made their way here, can you give me a clue about which frame numbers they relate to?

If the subject has already been discussed, a link will be great.

According to the Haynes book of stuff, the restricted ones have engine numbers starting RD04E-3 whereas full power have engine number starting RD04E-2
