    Help Cannot start

Battery seems OK. Lights etc all working.
Depress starter button - nothing. No clicking - nothing

    Shak'

Check the leads from the battery to the solenoid, and also the earth to the frame.

Next, check the lead from the solenoid to the starter motor.

Finally, on top of the solenoid is a wiring connector. If you remove this there is a 30amp (I think) master fuse underneath it. You may find this has blown or the connections around it are nasty and gungey/dirty.

make sure you have a positive neutral.
don't just trust that the green neutral light being on means it's in neutral.
check that your side stand kill switch ( if fitted ) is not jammed or failed,to test this just undo the leads and join them together.
    hope this helps

    Re: Help Cannot start

Oops says it all. Had advertised the @. Nice chap came up from London to buy. Lots of oohs and ahs about the mint condition of the bike. Then came the tadaah moment. Nothing. Very embarassing. Sorted, and the proud new owner is on his way back to London. I'm sure he will be joining the site soon and no doubt Sharriebee will be looking for some pics. Thanks again for the quick replies.
