Fitting tool tubes to the @

I think i might well have been defeated here- but how have you guys fitted the tool tubes to your Africa Twins? - I have looked at mounting them to my T/T pannier frames but it doesn’t seem to fit there without interfering with putting on or taking the panniers off??

    Any suggestions???

Have you got crash bars on it? If so, I believe they will fit on there.

That's where I'm going to fit mine, once I get my crashbars (roll on pay-day)

They certainly do just fitted two on my Transalp crashbars, I used P clips
[the ones with the rubber insert ] three each side looks good and the width gives a bit more protection.

I fitted mine to a length of angle bracket, then fitted the other side of the angle bracket through a couple of bolt holes in the bash plate (second holes down to keep it low and out of the way of the wheel when it turned) with big washers behind it. Was a bit worried the aluminium might be too soft, but it seems to have held up OK so far and keeps the weight nice and low and at the front of the bike.

I've only got the one tube at the moment though. I'm interested in a second tube and I'm also not sure where to put them when I get that. I've got a givi wing rack so can't seem to find anywhere to mount it to that at the back. Doesn't seem to be much room where the current tube is without getting in the way of the wheel or reducing ground clearance.

The crashbars seem the logical place (one each side to keep things balanced), but I'm a bit wary of putting them there incase I drop it and the tubes damage the fairings.

I like that set up on the bash plate. May try this at the weekend.
