    Need a new tail

Anyone got any good ideas for a new RD04 tail. I want to change out the rear end and haven't seen one yet that would fit with the standard side panels.

Heres what i did with my RD04 when i rebuilt it:

    1) Strip rear end, You need to cut off the U shaped bracket that holds the black mudguard bit and numberplate (unless you want to keep that part).

I then covered over the rear subframe with the blue rubber to keep water out:

    2) Fit a CR 500 mudguard - you need to use a dremel or simillar to cut holes for it to fit beneath the rear rack if your going to keep that as well:

    3) Replace or fit a new rear light - i used a small LED stop and tail light - works well:

    4) to finish mine off, i made a rear stoarage box with some thin aluminium i had, and incorporated a hinge and lock onto the numberplate, so i can lock it

Hope this might give you some ideas.

    Cheers.
    Ant.

Wow, that's a really great idea. A tool box under the number plate. Hmm I'll have to have a real close look now. Thank you.
