    Lights/horn.indicator switch assembly

    Hi guys..

    my main beam switch button has died on me - and i have tried stripping it dowm - but it dosent seem to want to play...

    does anyone know if the varadero or transalp switch assembly is the same? and could i just use this.. seems finding a RD07A one is like hens teeth...surprise surprise..???

    Any thoughts?

    I know the Varadero 2000 model is the same as the 2000 AT cos I lent my spare switch to my mate until he could get a replacement himself and it went straight on. Never got it back, he sold the bike!!
    3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.

    1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

    thanks yen - the look identical - hence the question - they are much easier and cheaper to come by than the identical @ part...

    I'm 99% certain there all the same. I broke the switchgear on my xr400 and couldn't get one for sensible money i did get a brand new one from a breakers from a 2003 nsr125. It was the same switch gear just had to change some wires around in the plug.

    They do come apart easily and if you want you could just de-solder the faulty switch and solder the new one in
