    XRV650 interchangeable parts

I have read that there are spare parts for the XRV650 that are interchangeable with other bikes.
(Pattern parts for these items are interchangeable, I'm however certain that HONDA OEM parts differ ever so little from most aftermarket parts
if not in design/quality, at least in price,,,)

I have not tested any of the parts my self, but I will investigate, and test a different rear sprocket next year.

    Front sprocket:

    15 cog (std): XL600V Transalp 88-99 & XL650V Transalp 00-07 ___ Part number: 23801-MN9-010

That's very interesting. I'm assuming that both of these sprockets have the rubber bit moulded around them?

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

    Kjell

This is excellent stuff, Thank you very much on behalf of all us RD03 owners.

Hopefully, someone with a bit more savvy than me can work out a good way to archive this on the forum, so it doesn't get lost with a flood of replies in the thread.

    Great Work, Thank you again

Interesting , I wonder if the steering head bearings I've just installed would have been any cheaper if I had ordered from one of the other models on that list.
Mine were around $100 NZ but worth every cent , what a difference they have made !

    Re: XRV650 interchangeable parts

So Kjell, how sure are you that these parts will actually fit RD03's? I'm wondering because I've check the rear disc brake for example on www.cmsnl.com and it says that that brake was only used on CB 900's, not XRV's...

So where does this information come from? I'm not questioning your knowledge, I'm just wondering before I go out and spend $250 on parts that don't find.

    Thanks.

    Re: XRV650 interchangeable parts

Information came from a Swedish company selling aftermarket spare parts for Honda, Yamaha, Suzuki, and Kawasaki.

If You have other information stating that my write up is wrong, pls let me know, so I can correct the information.

If in any doubt, or if You received contradictory information then You would do vicely to check with someone that can guarantee
    the parts are interchangeable.

As You already found out www.cmsnl.com is a sourcefull website/company
