    Main Beam Switch Sticking

My main beam switch is very sticky. It'll switch on OK, but won't switch off unless I really press hard loads of times. Oncoming traffic think I'm leaving it on on purpose. Can anyone suggest any fixes please? Mine's a RD07a.

    Cheers

Drown it in WD40, squirt it into the switch, then work the switch in & out to get things on the move properly.

It won't do any harm, and certainly can't make things worse.

Thanks Bob, I had thought of this but thought it was likely to short the electrics so decided against it. However, if you think it's OK to do then I'll give it shot. Thanks for the quick reply

Yup, that's pretty much what I did to mine - also make sure that the switch is clean....... try to clear any gunk when the switch is 'out' or on dim - be sure to check under the switch as well

There's nothing worse than going into a bend, faffing with a switch that won't behave and the oncoming traffic flashing their brights at you

Hope you get it sorted O.K.

WD40 that's the way to go and it works excellent! I do it 1-2x per year, or whenever it plays up again.
