    Sorry to keep you waiting

The plastic "box" sort of snaps in place, and to keep it in place there is a rubber grommet between the ignition lock cylinder and the hole in the box.

I can take a picture of mine if you require,

I bought my parts directly from my Honda dealer.

There is also a small Honda wing decal that is supposed to be glued on top of the box.

Silly is it not? To get these small parts just to be able to say that ones bike is totally original

Hello Kjell , i knew you'd know the answer , I'll order the cover, grommet and emblem tomorrow.I would have thought it screwed on but obviously not then.

Yes it is silly that we go to these lengths but i'm amazed you can get so many bits after 20 years so because of that i'd like to get it back to as near to original as possible........sad i know.

Whats even sadder is i now have a helmet holder and sticker on my back rack and luggage loading stickers on back order

Thanks again and.......................................don't laugh at me

    Ian

In my case the cover came with emblem already glued on, so now I have an extra emblem,,,
I do not have the helmet holder and sticker
I did not think it would be neccesary, but you force me to invest in these parts too.
No, laughing I'm not!!! Cursing would be a better description

Edit: I just checked my cover, and there is a "snap" thingy that snaps on to the upper fork clamp three (If I'm using the right name for it,,,)

Number 7 have a snap thing on its backside that snaps on to the front of the tripple clamp three (17)

(I wish I stayed awake during English classes, but my career was already clear, no need for english, only russian: Руки вверх and Передайте или умрите )
