    Re: Carb overhaul mileage

To be sure to be sure. I replaced the fuel pump. Needed to be done anyway.

I also replaced the R/R with a sh548-12. It still gets just as hot as the old one. So the old one could have been alright for a while yet. But at least i know now its new.

Bike still wont accellerate under load. Just now power. Idles fine.

Any suggestions before i pull the tank off and start at the carbies ?

Lack of power under load usually means blocked air filter.
Wrong air fuel mix, using the idle jet it works fine using main jet it does not.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

    Re: Carb overhaul mileage

Suppose this is a lucky find, Could have been worse. Rear Plugs were black. So started with the rear carbie. Undid the bowl and the Main Jet Fell into my hand.

So after putting that back together etc all is well again.

Either I failed to do it up tight enough last time or it just came loose under vibration.

End result is fixed. I can rest easy now.
