    Fuel pump needed urgently

I was just about to set off for work as an instructor and saw fuel leaking from the pump.
Turned fuel off, disconnected pipes etc to check where leak was coming from, reconnected and no pump noise, removed outlet and no fuel even after hitting it!!

Local Honda dealer says £180ish but they haven't got one (thank goodness).

I try the forum shop for a FACET pump, like I should have bought a while ago, but cannot be ordered ie. I guess out of stock.
Is that information up to date, if so is there anywhere else I can get one pronto?
    Ta, Tim

You might have a go at ebay. Not everyone's choice, but it might get you back on the road.

    Wemoto quote £107

and David Silver have the GENUINE article for £89!!

    Hope that helps.

It's not a case of whether we can fix it or not - it's more a case of how fixed would you like it?

Good luck with the pump, at least you'll be back on the road. I still have the original one after 40k miles. A good tip I was given was don't let the bike run to reserve - these pumps don't like pushing air so fill up once you get near the mileage - I do this around the 180-190 mark and have not gone to reserve at that point

On a different point, where about are you in N Wales - go out riding there a lot

... in the meantime you could fill up the tank and join the inlet and outlet hoses together using some small pipe & cable ties. keep the tank > half full and you'll motor along nicely...

    Re: Fuel pump needed urgently

    Hi Timolgra,

I have an original Honda fuel pump in the shed that I don't need as I fitted the Facet replacement unit to my @. So if you still need a pump let me know via PM or thread reply I bought it for £40 so its yours for the same price plus postage.

Hi, check this ebay item 390025265348, I got my pump from him today, it was very quick. He let me have one for £30 and that included the 2 fittings. This is his last one.

He can't pm you he hasn't subscribed. However you can pm him with an E mail address so he can contact you. We really don't want to go down the route of non subscribed members and wanted items again do we?
