    Pic request

Has anyone got a pic of the front of the engine where the two cases come together?

I found a small hole there (While I was ACF 50-ing the bike!) and I can't tell if it is meant to be there or if it's stone damage...it's behind the front wheel.

Do you ride with the engine protection pans removed? Can't see how a stone would cause damage if they were installed. Anyhow, couple of pics for you...if they help or not. Any hole in your case or where they mate would be oily. However, their does appear to an outlet from two of the cavities in the upper pic (r/h case).

Simple solution; stop cleaning the bike then you won't keep finding all of these mysterious holes

yes the hole is meant to be there. it's got a square edge, on one side of the casting. had the same panic when i first saw mine, and had to check on another bike

Phew The edge isn't exactly square that's what got me worried, but it looks half chipped and half designed!

Well my mind is at ease now, thanks!

    Re:

Hi has anyone ever had any trouble trying to get the left and right cases back together? i have just changed the output shaft bearings and thrust washer on my AT and have started to rebuild it. However, when i came to put the cases together i found that there is something stopping them by about 5mm its not the oil pump pipe because i removed it to see if that solved the problem but it didnt,

any ideas? could the cases have warped?

    Thanks Ben.
