I didn't spot a video in there, but there's a video of head bearings being changed here that I might have posted in a thread about that recently. Perhaps that's what you were thinking of?

It's not an Africa Twin they're doing it on, but perhaps it might still be helpful hopefully.

    Are they OEM or pattern?

I fitted taper bearing (With my Dad's help )and they are a tight fit onto the stem but they do go on.

Stick em in the freezer . Just done mine and yep theyre tight.
Was in chch friday , had I known I could have bought down my coustom made driver (ground down piece of pipe)
New bearings certainly make for easier riding , specially on the long rides, just did the DB1K took 20 hours straight ,no probs

    Re: head bearing video

Big job jobbed...that means I done it woohoo....top tips from the video and when it came to fitting the bearing on the top yoke I started to use my girlfriends vacuum cleaner hosepipe but got scared in case I damaged it and she damages me so popped down to a second hand shop and bought one from them and it worked a treat.I used the tapered roller bearings from e moto and they came with two dust seals.Fitted a treat.I had to use a dremel( small hand held grinder) to remove the bearing housing from the stem, worked well and came off easily.Cheers for the offer underground,I was over french pass two weeks ago doing the round trip around from diamond harbour...great fun.Was thinking of doing the molesworth and rainbow on the 6 th of feb.....well done on the doing the dusty,I was hoping to do over the two day,s but got roped in to work for the missus instead.

I think it might have been one of the guys on those videos or involved in that site somehow who posted it on here a while back, so at least one of them might be a member here.

It's a great site and excellent idea and I keep popping back there to see if they've added new videos. Looks like it'll be really handy in the future when I need to start doing those things myself.
