had my @ since early december, but not had chance to use it since buying it.
Just sold my other @ on saturday, didn't use that neither apart from the day i bought it,but thats another story.
Yesterday the weather was fine in the northwest ,so decided to get my @ out of next doors garden, yes its been parked there since i bought it.
I noticed a scottoiler fitted, but didn't know were or how they worked,so after i found the reservoir, still not knowing anything about it,i tried to figure out how to fill it ,as it was empty,i hadn't a clue so just pulled the top off and filled with gear oil,yes i know i should have done a search first
.
Anyway its working fine now,and i am a bit wiser about the procedure for next time.
So i had to take it out for a run to find out it was working as it should,I have not insured bike yet until my bandit insurance runs out in february, but i have a motor trade policy that covers me to ride motorcycles so i was riding it on my traders policy, which is only limited and doesn't include breakdown cover.
Another fine day today so took the oppertunity to remove all panels and tank and gave it a spray with an areosol waxoyl, and smeared grease around all the spokes were they enter rim,no sign of any corrosion yet so hoping to prevent it or prolong the life of the wheels a bit longer.
Also fitted some heated grips, the wrap around type, very simple and do the job fine.
Got a quote off carol nash £130 fully comp inc breakdown which i thought was very good,I thought my bandit was reasonable £180 fully comp but no breakdown cover inc,so will be taking carol nash insurance out when my other lapses.
Will be subscribing shortly and i think this is a great forum you have here with plenty of help and info for a great price,I am the membership secretary for a toyota mpv club, and we run a forum just like this, and i know the costs of servers and the amount of work admins do to run a site like this,so well done to you all.
