    battery trouble

hi lads havent posted in while but have been here lurking in de background have a little problem you guys mabey able to help me with regarding battery chargeing .

    yuasa battery charged 12.54
    tickover 14.5

    2500 rpm 14.3
    5000 rpm 14.3

    lights on
    tickover 11.8
    2500rpm 12.0
    5000rpm 12.0

go for 8 mile spin lights on full
    battery reads 12.2
    tickover 12.7
    2500rpm 13.1
    5000rpm 13.1
    lights on
    tickover 11.8
    2500 11.9
    5000 11.9

just wondering do these figures seem ok cause battery seems to drain fairly quickly plus heated grips disconnected. battery new and no other extras to drain battery just wondering what problem it could be thanks lads

    Re: battery trouble

My RD04 have had the same simptoms. The way to fix it was to change the reg/rec, I've fitted one from Electrex and it works fine.
    Since then no charging troubles.

    Re: battery trouble

I would probably plump for REG/REC. Once again very similar symptoms on my old CX500. It is now fine with a change over.

New regulator required, very common fault and easy to change, remove side panel then two bolts and a plug I think.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

    Wemoto is your friend.

    Rge/rec.

Do it now before it fries some bulbs and the destroys the battery good and proper.
