    Re: No Africa Twins?

I would rather eat my own eyes than sell my twin.
Some fellers go mental and sell them in the for sale bit. then they generally seem to regret it.
So if you see one for sale here it is allmost certanly in good order, and plenty of gurus to help out.
Just keep checking. Good ones are still around @ a good price and they still do what it says on the tin......

    Re: No Africa Twins?

Hi, @ the moment I'm always thinking of my @, because I love it. My life would be quite dull without it. I have sold all my bikes, my Yamaha, my Harley, my BMW 1150gs ADV and as soon as the good weather comes, my old CX500 will go on Ebay. I have found, my lovely AT. It's the only bike I want and the only bike I need. Well I wouldn't mind another, an RD04 would be nice. Bob

    Re: No Africa Twins?

    Hello Dav

Well there are usually quite a few out there, but dealers tend to stock newer, lower mileage ones, which there aren't a lot of now I suppose, unless they are Enduro/Adventure Bike specialists.

If you look in the For Sale/Wanted forum on this site, you usually see a few crop up from members. If you intend to become an AT owner and stick around in the forum, it is well worth the £10 annual subscription, as this will entitle you to Private Message (PM) the between you and the seller and place ads in that section, which can be a eal bonus.

The best thing to do, especially if your knowledge of bikes and AT's in particular is limited, is to stick around in the forums and ask questions, as well as looking at what sort of knowledge is floating about.

AT's cope with high mileage well if they are reasonably well cared for, but there are a few gremlins to watch out for.

There are also three distinct flavours of AT, the RD03, RD04, and RD07, so check out the piccies in various sections, and try and work out which one you like best.

They're all fantastic bikes, and many people of this forum get very attached to them. Some sell them and regret it, and we always see a few coming back to tell us they've bought another one.

There are loads of parts available, especially after market rash bars and racks etc. Most OE Honda parts are available, but some parts are a tad harder to get for the earlier models, however eBay is always your friend here.

Have you considered buying one elsewhere in the EU and bringing it to the UK? Admittedly the Euro exchange rate isn't as good as it has been in the past, but French, German, and Italian eBay always have a good selection.

    You'll get one, don't worry

    Welcome to the site

Why buy from a dealer and pay premium price.

They come up for sale privately all the time. Be prepared to travel. There was one sold close to you 2 or 3 weeks since.
