    Smile Autocom 300

    Felicitations, XRVers.........

I've just stumped up the folding for an Autocom 300 and have a few questions as follows:

Where's the best place to mount it - I'm thinking under the seat?
How good are the standard speakers - bearing in mind I'm a charley-wannabe and wear a Tour-X lid!
If I plug my i-plod into it, does it need to go under the seat as well? (I have a waterproof bag for it but would prefer to keep it in my pocket......

That should do for now until it arrives and I start playing!............

Thanks in advance for the wealth of knowledge that's about to be imparted on me - as usual..........

    Bri

Not quite sure about the 300 but I have mine under the seat under the rear hump.
The audio jack is long enough to reach the front of the bike and therefore can connect to the Ipod in the pocket.
You just have to remember to remove it when you plan to get off the bike.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Get yourself a mount for the Ipod and you can leave it all plugged in just have to disconnect the big main autocom cable.
Speakers are good but it depends on your Lid and the amplifier in the ipod, Autocom do make an extension cable with headphone sockets so you can get monitor earplugs or noise reduction earphones which are better for the sound reproduction and your hearing.
Rammount make a waterproof case with a soft access window so you can press pause or skip easier.

Mmmmm, yeah I've got an Otter-box and ram-mount already and was thinking that they may come in handy for this. I'll have to wait till it arrives and see how its all meant to go together............
