    Re: Tank Bag

The AT tank is already very high. I can't imagine putting a tank bag on top of that.

Hi, I have a 03 @ with the air filter in the tank, I also have one of the Lidl tank bags. I had it on my CX500, I have never put it on my @, but I will first thing in the morning to see how it sits. I will post my findings straight away. On the Lidl link earlier in this thread it gives £18.58 for the tank bag, only last year they were £9.99 at my branch.

It's worked fine for me so far with the RD04, though not sure if the air filter would get in the way with the later model bikes (I suspect if you used the straps it would help with that though).

Here's a picture of one of the lidl bags on my bike. Despite how it looks, it's pretty solid and has been stable even in high winds so far, just using the magnets on mine - I just need to be careful not to polish the tank too much - mrsheen makes the surface too slippy).

If it's the same bag as mine, that's an absolute bargain. I can't remember for sure but I think I paid just over 20 for mine a couple of years back. Even at that price I consider it a bargain for how useful I've found it.

    Re: Tank Bag

I bought one of these Lidl specials the other day. I've got an RDo7a and it sits fine on mine, no straps needed, just a little faith in physics! I took 2 parcels to the post office yesterday and used the tank-bag to carry them - no problems at all. I even used the little MP3 pouch to put my iPod in.

Only problem I have with it, that most other folk won't is - the placement of my heated grip controller means on full LH lock its possible to turn the grips on! Or more alarmingly for someone who lives in Scotland - OFF!

I'll go re-fit it and take some pics for the doubters.........

When they kick at your front door How you gonna come?
With your hands on your head Or on the trigger of your gun
When the law break in How you gonna go?
Shot down on the pavement Or waiting on death row?.............

    Re: Tank Bag

If you haven't already bought one of those lidl bags, and you want one, it might be an idea to get down to a lidl shop in a hurry. They tend to sell out on the first day up here and if you leave it too long there's a chance they might not have any left at your local store (though they'll probably pop up on ebay too and the bike stuff seems to last longer at some places in the country).

I occasionally have the little side compartment beeping the horn when I have it on full lock left too (though that only really happens when wheeling it around carparks so not so much of a problem). You can zip that one off though I think if that was too much of a pain.
