    Wemoto master cylinder rebuild kits

Has anyone bought one of these?

On a scale of swearing outbursts, how easy is it to rebuild the master cylinders?

Going to get my order off soon but keep seeing bits and thinking "Hmmmm..."

This thing will stop on a penny once it's back together

I've just done one on my @.The trickiest bit was getting the circlip thingy out, after that it was straight forward enough.Make sure the rubber seals go in the right way around

I've got a kit lying in the shed - I'm waiting till I go to braided hoses, may as well do the whole lot then..........

Let me know how you get on with it - then I'll go at it prepped with the necessary anti-swearing equipment............

    3 TLD's done, (2009 + 2010 + 2011) - bring on 2012

When they kick at your front door How you gonna come?
With your hands on your head Or on the trigger of your gun
When the law break in How you gonna go?
Shot down on the pavement Or waiting on death row?.............

OOhhh, forgot to say it helps if you have a georgous wife who makes pots of tea and delivers them to the garage at regular intervals.

quite easy really one lesson i learnt doing them push the dust seal in with an appropriate sized socket from ya socket set, if you try to do it with a screwdriver it will not go in very easily, keeps popping out at the opposite side etc, and you run the risk on puncturing it in the process

Isn't that the caliper seals Merv? The seals on the master cylinder are located on the plunger.

Anyway, whatever, I concur that a master cylinder rebuild is a piece of p!ss, once you strip the gubbins from the cylinder it'll all make sense. As said before, just make sure the seals are put on the right way round. On the swearing scale I think it only rates as a 'crikey', anything stronger is a mere indulgence.
