Just done an oil/filter change on my current bike and whilst I was filling out the details in my service folder I thought I'd see what mileage my Facet fuel pump (bought from this forum) had done.
It's completed 28,418 miles so far. No problems yet, except I have had to replace the zip ties that are holding it on once. They were cheap zip ties though.
Another 12,000 miles and I'll know if it lasts longer than previous Honda and Mikuni pumps have.
3 Africa Twins/280,000 miles. If it's happened to one of mine, it's gonna happen to one of yours.....eventually.
1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

Every time I read a post like this a feeling of paranoia about the OEM pump on my 1999 @ sets in. It's done 46,000 miles but according to the general concensus I've been lucky. Should I give in and buy a Facet anyway?

Why not, just to have about ready, mine was still going at 31,000 I think but I just thought sod it and replaced it
