Here it is...

the modified linkage rods for Antony's AT 1 cm longer than stock.
I know that they dont look an nice as the stock thing, but I dont like to grind off the welding because it makes it weaker, and as I see it, I rather have it strong than pretty.
Hi Hugo. What do you think about the possibility of shortening a linkage slightly to give me a higher bike? I haven't looked into how much to shorten it by yet and I know that there are clearance issues with the chain slider but a couple of inches more height would be perfect for me.
Cheers
Dylan
Hello Dr!!
Nice to ear from you again.
Shortening is not a problem, and even easier than the other way, but I have never tried it on a bike. Dont know about the secondary effects.
I've ran out of spare links to cut and I'm finding hard to get them, but if you dont mind being the "lab rat" (for a change), send me one, I'll do it.
What size rear sprocket are you using?
Email me if you're up for it.
Cheers !
I think we can cut 6 to 8mm to your rods without any side effects to the chain slider or any other suspension problem. I'm studying another way to do it but it's going to take some more time to get it to work.
Waiting to ear from you
Cheers

Hi
check out this link

and also

xrv hulman seems to sugest 1 cm of shortening can raise the bike by ten cms
he has change front end too so not sure if the 10 cm is due to the rear end mod or front or combination of both
let me know how you get on as really would like to raise mine![]()
