I'm happy that you're happy with it!

For future "uplifts" I'll use 8mm as maximum to cut.

You now have to understand that you have more weight on the front forks, so the bike will probably dive a bit more whilst using the front brake. If you need I can do you some spacers for the fork's springs, so it gets a bit more stiff and with less sag.

It does make quite a difference to the bike. Let me know how you find the shock spring.

    Re: AT lowering kit

After riding a few miles with the raised rear, I have decided that the front does need raising a bit as well. The trouble with raising the rear only is that the difference is most noticeable right at the rear whereas the bit where I sit has not increased in height by a great deal.

Both front and rear suspension units on my bike need overhauling after nearly 62000 miles, so I've finally got round to ordering some new fork springs from Wemoto to start with. I presume that they will sag a bit less than the old ones anyway but the addition of spacers may be beneficial. I can't afford a new rear shock right now so I will probably get mine serviced in the near future instead.

Are the fork spacers just to increase the preload slightly?

Yes, they are. They work the same way as the spring adjusters on the shock.

No, I'm not a professional welder. I wish I was, but unfortunatelly they didnt accept me at the boat docks or even at the crane builder's because my welding's not that good. Basically theiy're words were "chewing gum, Araldite and lead solder are not considered welding processes, so you cant stay".
That is too bad because I really wanted to be on a oil platform freezing my balls off Mig'ing 10" of steel bar with 300amps current , killing my neurons and smoking the equal of 100 cigarettes a day...but , again, you cant have everything...so I settled for a small job as a custom bike builder in sunny North London to pay for my first new stick welder (Halfords)

Finaly some good sense for humor!!!

On the other hand I have for a while installed AQ kit on my bike. I expressed my opinion in other topic going about KTM rear shock on AT.
