    AT lowering kit

    Hi there chaps!!

Being a "vertically challenged" (but extremelly gifted) young man, I had to use the brains, grinder and welder to lower my AT when I bought it, one year ago.

I took the linkage rods from the rear suspension and added one extra cm, that causes the seat to come down something like 2 cms. This does not affect the suspension travel or the spring stiffness.

Knowing that some people would like to own an AT but instead go for the TA wich is a lower seat bike, I thought I could sell this stuff on ebay (since I've got 2 or 3 lying around), or even in this forum. I'm not marketing the thing, I'm just trying to understand how many of us could do with a lower or even higher AT.

    Hope to ear from you

Well, I thought about doing it cheap, but didnt yet consider prices. I know it takes me 3 hours to cut , extend and weld the rods. I'd say something close £25/30 and you send me your standard one as long as your bearings are ok.
I'd like to know your opinion on this.

    Hi

That sounds like a good price, have you had yours fitted long, any signs of stress on the joints/weld, does it operate as normal

i may like to keep the original so i can change it back if needed, might look on ebay for a spare to adjust

I've used mine for one year now, and they hold like they've been welded by a pro!! The fact that it's a part that doesnt suffer many impacts and the strains are reduced by the complete linkage also helps.

I've got another std link wich I can cut to any size (within reason) and one already stretched 1 cm like mine. Contact me if you're interested

If I strech it , the bike gets lower, if I shorten it, it gets higher. It works both ways.
