    Can oil cause vibrations?

I've been struggling with a vibration on my bike for quite a while now and i have looked at pretty much everything except taking the engine apart. Carbs have been synced, plugs checked and so on. The vibes become noticeable at bout 4000rpm

The vibrations started a few days after I did a oil change. Also did the oil and petrol filter. Oil used was Delo 400 multigrade. The bike ran super sweet again like it normally does after a oil change. Then a few days later i started to notice the vibes.

Could it be something with the oil or the filter? I cant imagine an oil change actually causing this but i am running out of options.

Another strange thing happend this weekend. Had a nice long drive and noticed that the vibrations are now not as bad as they were the last 2 months, and they were quite bad. But they are still there

Did something just randomly fall into place or something inside the engine?

Interesting. I recently did an oil change on my 105,000 mile AT. It always had a vibey clutch rattle, and a buzzy vibe at 4000rpm. Since the oil change, this is more noticeable. It was semisynth oil with JASO numbers etc, but not my usual Halfords semi.

Curious to see if people can shed light on this. I may change the oil and see if it's better.

    Have you tried Flushing oil?
Clean the system out then fill with the good stuff.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

Engine was well flushed, in my case.

Try adjusting the tickover, sometimes when the oil is changed the engine idles differently, adjustment of tickover can sometimes remove the vibrations. Also check the coolant level.

Thanks - coolant and tickover correct. It must be the oil, but with the right specs it should make no difference.
