    What exhaust for my RD07

I am thinking of replacing my stock exhaust for something a little less huge, but I don't want to restrict the engine in any way, nor do I want to wake up the street when coming home at night.. This is aimed at all you exhaustologists out there. So anybody who knows something about this, will know more than me, so please share.

Have you tried it with just the collector box and stub.
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

I haven't tried anything yet. I just know that when I make my pannier racks and boxes, I would like to get the whole exhaust system a bit more tucked in. The Honda system is just so heavy and fat all over, but I have got to say the sound of the bike is important, I would not like it if it sounded like a big fart.

I've just fitted a Leo Vince SBK EVO II and it sounds awsome.

There a plenty of video/sound clips on Youtube to test the ear before you buy

I have Remus exhausts on both my twins and they are lovely sounding, light weight, narrow, and not too loud. I tried a Laser Pro-Duro Sport before (race pipe, not road legal) and that was small and neat but too loud for me. Laser do a road legal version but I'm not sure about the volume of that one. The narrowness of the Remus (oval) made it possible to bring in my right hand pannier rack by about 2 inches as seen here:

Thanks Andy 1, that's worth a look at. Also 1gear1brake, thanks. I did see and read your post about slimming it all down, to get some kind of balance, very nice job. I had thought about making a dummy for the other side to square things up, and it also would make a good stash pot, or a spare fuel tank. I had read a thread about a LPG conversion, and it seemed that the fuel tank was a problem. Maybe a dummy tank would not need to be a dummy, but a gas tank.

From what I have tried on my RD07:
    - Sinus Silent Force - light, nice sound, slight increase in power (have K&N and dynojets)
    - Remus Innovation (street legal) - lighter that the stock one, the sound is not so different, no effect in power (at least not significant)
    - African Queens Dakar - very light, a little too loud specialy when decelerating or sudden accelerating, increase in power (can do wheelies )

Thanks for that oldmotors, I will check those out. I love the increase in power bit, but I think I will leave the (can do wheelies) for someone else.

I can highly recommend the Guys at Quill in Goldborne nr Warrington, the will supply and fit one of there evo cans for about £220.00, the sound lovely (a real deep note), Wigan Chris had one fitted a couple of months ago and I've just fitted a second hand Titanium Quill. A mate of mine had a pair of titanium cans manufacture by them for his Tuono and I got to see how these guys worked while they fitted his new kit, absolute professionals and nice guys
