What would you change about your AT?

For me, the bike is pretty damn good, all round. But there are things I would change.

Power, I need more, well not power really, grunt. I would love a few more dollops of grunt, the kind of grunt you get when a sweaty lady tennis player at Wimbledon serves the final ball for the final point and she knows she has to win.

Weight, to be honest, the old dear not only has love handles but chicken wings, a flabby arse and thunder thighs. I would love to see more of a toned, surfer type girlie setup on there.

Handling is ok - a bit like mudwrestling with Kylie and Angelina, a bit all-over the place but you love it!!

Brakes - these, despite being poor compared to modern bikes are ok, they bring me closer to god - I pray, especially when you really overcook the corners!

Other than that - I still think they look great, even after all this time. Lets face it - you would still shag Linda Lucardi!
When I grow up ..... yeah right!

Y'see, I could say "You can go fast, I can go anywhere, Africa Twin" But you buggers have 'em as well so it would sound pretty lame .... oops!

I wouldn't change a thing, I love my 'old lass', dearly, despite all her foibles! Never fails to bring a smile to my face starting/during/after a ride, but definitely meant for "I'm gonna try to be more sensible today" days!

Perhaps make it an XRV800 to rival the BMW GS800.

Shave as many kilos off as possible
Increase economy at the expense of performance if necessary
    Tubeless tyres
    An 18" rear wheel
    An extra gear
    Integrated chain oiler
    Standard centre stand
Offering a range of low cost bodywork options (Smart Car style)
    HID headlamps
    Lightweight clear digital clocks
An option for a pre-wired plug and play GPS/SatNav
Opening the V to 90 degrees and adding Desmo valves?

How about offering the £2000 scrappage scheme for bikes as well !!!!!!

Me for an XRV800 please with that extra 6th gear, and £2000 knocked off the price.

Re: What would you change about your AT?

My RD04 needs a 30L tank and thats about it !

But would like a new 650cc Lightweight Twin Enduro bike with exactly the same shape tank and side panels as the RD04 in Red White Blue scheme like mine.

So basically a smaller version, would look bloody great IMO

Desmo valves!! You must be joking!
My other bike is a 'Docrappie Multished' 1000DS which has those, and the only benefit I can see... is that the dealers get to charge astronomic amounts of money to adjust them!
