    Arrow home made aluminium paniers

    Hi to everyone !
I want to ask for your opinion about the dimensions that I want to use for two aluminium paniers for my AT:

    lenght x height x widht

45x40x30 cm - for the left panier
45x40x20 cm - for the right panier

What do you say, are these too big or not ?
    Thanks !
    Dan

don't know if the dimensions are ok. but Why not buy new Alu-panniers from www.daerr.de Easier and probably cheaper than the DIY solution.

The price I have to pay for these home made paniers is lower than 100 euro, so ... "DIY solution" is better for my pocket.
    Thanks !

And also waterproof, lockable and well designed as these Daerr boxes ??

Sorry about these questions, but unless you have access to the right tools. Bending machine, Aluminium welder etc. DIY boxes won't be worth the effort.

Size is whatever you need, they seem to be narrow enough
I've probably got the biggest but then I dont have pillion to worry about
Mine are 60x40x25 on a Varadero with no problems if you can get yours made cheaply then I may place an order with your supplier

I must say, with respect, that these boxes are much larger than they need be. The bigger they are, the more you'll take. These are gigantic.

I think every travelling biker should first be a backpacker.

I've inspired my self from Touratech; so, those dimensions are from their's products. There are the largest paniers, it's true, but I like them.
I want to have enough "space" but not to affect the personal safety and neither of the passenger. The safety is first at all, especially the passenger's one (it's my responsibility).
That's why I asked about these dimensions.
If Touratech uses them, may be I can use them , too.

    Thanks for your answers!
