VFR1200X !! is this to be the next AT?

So Honda are planning on using the new VFR1200 V4 lump in 3 new models, sports, touring and a GS rival!! Could this be the 'new' AT we are all waiting and wishing for?

So they appear to be using the same frame for the sports and touring versions but a new frame for the 'X' version.

Guess we will just have to wait and see.........................

No pictures of the 'X' model just the pre-production sports/touring model.

If it is a V4 it can not be called a Twin so it will not be a new Africa Twin but an Africa Quad.

I've seen "spy phots" in MCN, but they don't reveal anything astonishing. The V4 engine in the VFR800 has quite a high centre of gravity. If they repeat that on the VFR1200 the it's going to be unweildy off-road. Expect a road bike in drag rather than a "New Africa Twin".
