    Carb Overflow

Recently noticed that my @ drips a small amount of fuel from the carb overflow when starting from cold and lying on the side stand. Seems to happen whether I use the choke or not.
Anyone know if this is normal or do I have a problem ?

Not normal. That sounds like you've got a leaky float valve or some dirt in a float valve stopping it seating properly. Time to strip the carbs and check it out as they should not leak.

First thing though is turn off the petrol, open up the drain plug and then using the drain plug just squirt a load of carb cleaner into the bowl... The fully drain again, repeat if you still get crap coming out..

If after the above it still leaks then yes a strip down is required and a card refurb kit should have the gaskets, washers and needle valve required

same as above drop the float bowls off the carbs and give them a good clean as they will probs be gunked up, not a hard job, its just getting to the carbs can be tricky

    good luck
    everything is OK
