Air filter box - make it sit tight!

I had enough of the popping off of the airfilter box from the carbs. So, I cut the bottom "lip" (this 1mm which is suppose to keep the hose clamp inplace) from off the connections where the hose clamp sits on, to make it flush.

In this way I can move the hose clamp half way over this connection in order to put the pressure right to the bottom and not at the top so that it pushes them off the carbs again..

I tighten the three bolts that hold the whole assembly in place before I tighten the hose clamps and that seems to do the trick...(?)
