    how do i test the amperes going through the reg/rec?

    Hey, Iv said it once and I will say it again! How do i test the amperes going through the reg/rec? I found them new for £70, but I dont want to spend out that much if its not goosed! Cheers alot.

    before you go and spend 70quid. I've just found this thread, suggesting that R1/R6 fit.


    As there are more of those bikes around you'll be albe to pick one up cheaper

    They do. I fitted one after my r/r went on me. Got it off ebay for £25.00.

    Sweet! Gonna buy one of these. But first...my bike is the 1995 RD07, do you know if I have to get a particular year of r1 regulator/rectifier? And will it just plug right in, or will I have to make some changes? Cheers alot

    Wont fit straight on. You have to modify the wiring. The Honda one has 7 pins where the Yammy has 5. Not a problem. Let me have your email and I'll send you some info via that. Or search the site. There's something on here somewhere.

    All done Ash. Email sent and also found this YAMAHA R1 YZF 1000 R1 4XV 98/99 REGULATOR RECTIFIER on eBay (end time 23-Aug-09 16:52:31 BST)
