    Ignition wiring

A few time lately my AT has been dead on turning the key. I traced it down to the connector block from the Ignition, stripped and cleaned I was feeling smug. That was until I went for a ride yesterday (Fish n Chips in Brid) 2 miles from home and it dies on a big sweeping bend. So I coasts to a stop and we find that the wires going into the ignition barrel are on their last legs, no problem. (EDITED OUT by BobA) So off I go home for one of my other bikes.

So today I have to fix the wiring... (EDITED OUT by BobA) ..can anyone help please?

If you can wait till tonight I'll have a look at my spare ignition barrel.

1 Varadero/17,000 miles ridden (of 40,000 miles on the bike), it's all still new to me!

    Chaps.

Could I ask you to PM each other directly with the info on reconnecting the ignition system please.

I'm also gonna edit some of the words in Dr Shox post, otherwise every bike thieving googler out there will have more info than we'd wish them to have.

    Thanks for your understanding.

Just disconnect the battery, go have a cup of tea, then reconnect.
