04? or 07?

Dont anybody start arguing

As a 'lets go for a ride and come back in six months-bike ', which is the one to have? (probably a question for those who've had both).

The more i look at the 04, the more it looks like it does what it says on the tin. The 07 looks 'sanitized'. I'll rephrase that. Redesigned to appeal to a wider audience? (i like both).

Is this how they come across to ride? Did the major redesign improve on things? Or did it 'lose' something?

I know there'll be some diehard one or the others out there, but good points bad points?

Much like the 04. Not 100% about the straight pointy sidepanels. Nothing some big ally cases couldnt fix.
