Givi pannier rack And Alpos question

    Hi all
I have just fitted a Givi tublar rack to my @ and had to remove the handy lifting bracket used to get it on centre stand - is that the same for others?

Out of curiosity does the Touratech require the same?

Givi rack is cheap and cheerful but surprisingly rigid - going to put a pair of Alpos on it as I only tour Euro touring and mostly on good roads albeit C class roads. Anyone suggest whatsize each side for looking ok - seems 42/32

    Thanks

I took mine off my last AT. Fitted Givi side rails and Allit panniers
You lift the bike onto the centre stand with the givi rail tube

TT racks will be the same

    NO PROBLEM

alas I sold this bike over 2 yrs ago now

Yep. You use the pannier rails to get the bike to the centre stand.

Same as.. I fitted the wingrack II so it's a case of just grab a convenient hold and pull and lift (with a friend) or drop a b****ck and the bike! User friendly not.

Re: Givi pannier rack And Alpos question

Cheers guys as I suspected - I have never had a problem lifting it onto the centre stand even with throw overs and top box full - a bit more difficult with a full tank but hey ho - I found getting your knee in helps but have long legs so it works.

Anyone got Alpos Givi tublar rack set up? What do you think as I haven't bought the boxes yet. I intent fabricating a TT mounting system but doing it so you don't have to go inside the pannier to loosen it for removal of the box.
