    RD03 Pannier Racks Assembly

    Hi

I have a question for all: Do you have directions or a picture how to install hepco and becker panier racks (for soft luggage bags) to strap onto to my RD03. I got them from Tyres for Bikes here in Australia (Brisbane).
The guy that gets them over from Germany (imports them here) is somewhat hard to deal with. They came with no instructions what so ever and I have emailed them 2 times and heard nothing back. Can you help with this?

I took a picture of them but unable to attach (I tried), and could not get back to this message to send. They are the correct racks, and they came with a bag of assorted nuts, bolts and washers.
I just need to know how it gets assembled as there are special thick alloy washers. Please let me know if you have anything that would help me assemble them as they cost about 580 bucks, and I would like to start using them on rides out there.

    Thank you.
    Regards,
    Zach

The picture you need attached is:
YOU ONLY NEED TWO TOOLS IN LIFE - WD-40 AND DUCT TAPE. IF IT DOESN'T MOVE AND SHOULD, USE THE WD-40. IF IT SHOULDN'T MOVE AND DOES, USE THE DUCT TAPE

I'd love to see these on an RD03. I've got some soft bags I'd love to be able to sling over the @T.

What I'm interested in is how it goes under the muffler to avoid bag burning on that side.

    I've got these, I believe:

Let me know what pictures you want and I'll take them and post them for you. I've never had to disassemble these completely myself as I almost always have bags on, but I can take the pictures you need. I run Nelson-Rigg 35 litre CL-850 soft luggage on these and they work great. The bags in the pictures are Eclipse soft bags.

I have the Nelson Riggs bags too but I'm trying to avoid the full racks like you have. I'd just like a small unobtrusive bar on each side actually.

I put the 850s over the AT the other day and they look like they'd work without any rack or bars. They're a bit close on the muffler but I think they'd be ok.

    Thanks for the response.

The picture was great. There appears to be two brackets - one each side that attach to the rear fender. My kit only came with one. Hmmmm.
I am still trying to get the German language translated to English. But I am learning more on the best way and also choosing the soft bags that strap on.

    Thanks and Regards,
    Zac
