Where did you get the Givis for £65?? Does anyone have close up photos of SW Motechs or Givis fitted please. My last @ had stainless crashbars fitted (untill some B***ARD stole it) but I cant find anyone selling new stainless - any suggestions ?

Stainless crash bars are like gold dust nowadays!

My Givi's were on special offer from M&P that was about a year ago, haven't seen them quite that cheap since though!

You can still get them for about £85-£90, from some places.

I'll take some pics tonight and put em up!

    Long delivery time.
    Less than perfect fit.
I did not like that the bars used the bolts for the sump plate as fasteners.

But that's just my opinion, do a search on the forum and see what others more experienced members say, I bet there are owners that are very happy with their protection bars from Riky Cross.

I got my Givis from M&P - I think they were £90 delivered - it takes about a week to get delivery.

They do not bolt onto the sump guards as has been suggested but use a reasonable clamp aroung the front tube on the frame and then mount to the front footpegs (mmm made me think now - definitely not the sump anyhow)

They are quite thick and have a lovely although not super thick powder coating.

They are fiddly to fit but once on it all makes sense.
I matched them up with the Givi Pannier Frames as well although these are not as robust - very rigid though and will do the job unless you are goin RTW

I wish I could build my own parts too!
Yes, post pictures when you are done.

Here is an XRV750 with a lot of tubing added:

Edit: I finally managed to scrape together enough money to buy a set of Touratech bars.
I have not installed them, (got them today) but they look well made.

+1 and same reasons, I ordered them from African queens. Delivery took about 1,5 months, need quite much struggle when putting them on, nut from end of the long rod (end of the engine) snapped of (poor welding) and now after one or two light drops they have broken sump plates fastener.

Now I`m lookin for SW Motech bars from here:

`95 AT Rd07 Technoflex rear shock, Intiminators, Renthal fatbar, heated grips, Polisport guards, Ignitech, ABP header pipes, LeoVince Evo II, wide pegs, H&B racks, Därr boxes, TT tankbag, TT seat, TT headlight cover, bi xenon, SwMotech bars, Pro-Oiler, SuperSprox, aluparts here and there, scraches around. Knobbies.

    G/S project bike.

    Hi,

I bought SW Motech and I am quite happy.

Have a look at my research here:

    Have been doing their job
