Has anybody successfully bypassed their sidestand switch? If so, can you let me know how you did it. It is the 3-wire rotary type switch and is on an RD07A.
Thanks in advance,
Dylan

Is it not a case of cutting the wires, completing the circuit and keeping the earth, um, earthed?
When I grow up ..... yeah right!
Y'see, I could say "You can go fast, I can go anywhere, Africa Twin" But you buggers have 'em as well so it would sound pretty lame .... oops!
Hi When I bypassed my switch I followed the wiring from the switch to the block connector ( green connector on mine) then got a small split pin pushed it in the back of the block connector joining the green/white wire with the green wire saved cutting the wires........ hope this makes sense I fixed my switch (expensive from Honda) I cut round the back of the switch with a Stanley knife pulled the back off in side is 2 small metal rings with 3 small springs inside the springs had worn I got an old disposable lighter and took the spring out is just the right size and cut it in to 3 put it back together and run some araldite round the back of the switch been ok up to now that was about 25000 miles ago........!!!! Hope this is of some help to you ( not very good at explaining better at getting my hand dirty and doing the job........!!!!)

Two green wires for the switch and 1 for the dash-board light makes perfect sense. I'll disconnect the connector block and put a jumper across the two greens then. Cheers guys.

Bump on this old thread, I have my side stand switch by passed right now, but I have started off a couple of times with the stand down, I haven't fallen yet, but, being absent minded and all, I believe this thing will get the better of me sometime in the future, so I want it working properly.
OEM part goes for 70 euros, a bit too much in my opinion, so I would like to know more about the above mentioned fixing method (I don't know if still have the switch on the bike, I bought her like this), and if someone has managed to find something on the cheapo that does the work...
Thanks!![]()
