    Brief Givi Pannier Rack Question...

Anyone fitting the above had to remove the (original) wire exhaust guard? Just started fitting my racks & it appears the rhs will clash with the guard - having a quick look through the @ photos though, there are @'s with Givi racks fitted & guard still in place...

(Real question - have I been supplied the right racks? Well, it's the right ref no. anyway...)

    Cheers, Rob.

Re: Brief Givi Pannier Rack Question...

I found the rack sat around 1mm away from the guard when I fitted it to my @. With a loaded pannier I guessed the rack would probably chafe the guard so I decided to remove it, as in the photo below. I also found the racks were not a precise fit and had to be 'stretched' very slightly (which is quite easily done). Hope this helps

Thankyou Mr. Berg, that does indeed help. Noticed the mis-alignment of the top 2 bolt-holes, think I'll need the services of some stout fellow to help with some rack-stretching right enough
