Re: Rear wheel offset measurement needed

I have built many push-bike wheels too and even a few motorbike ones. Pretty soon I will have to have a go at rebuilding my old @ rear before the rim-rot gets too bad. How much did Hagon charge for the rim Hugo? And is it bad practice to re-use the spokes? I don't care too much about shiny stuff and I'm a poor student so money is tight.

Re: Rear wheel offset measurement needed

I'm still using the OEM rim but powdercoated black. My bike comes from Portugal, so rims tend to last quite a bit longer than here thanks to the "less rain" factor.

I had them respoked with stainless for 2 reasons. They were rusty and the guy who did them before didnt do it properly ...

They charge £40 labour plus £50 for ss spokes per wheel. Spokes are not cheap, but less than half what Honda charges for them and stainless lasts forever.

Rims are are not cheap, but you can check their price list here.

Hope it helps

Just one more question on this issue, Dylan...

In wich position do you have the wheel adjuster plate, when you measure 52mm?

Thank you

This is more than I could ask for...

Thank you very much indeed, I guess this solves all the problems.

Just one more question. Is this for all Africa Twin models? RD03, RD04, RD07 and RD07A?

Re: Rear wheel offset measurement needed

hai guys...kinda new here. i got a pair of CBR 600 rimset and wana know if there is any way i could get it stuck in my AT. YES ITS BOTH FRONT AND BACK...

The rims measurement are as follows...
Front 120/70 tyre on a 17.M/C 58W
rear 180/55 tyre on a 17 M/C 73W

definately i will be changing it to a smaller tyre but the main stuff is, is it possible? might be starting to do a project on this. for sure the front caliper will have to digg for a new bracker/extension but nor sure if the rear will need one. will also need a new BUSHING and bearing...ectc etc etc...Hopefuly a lathe will not get involve in the way... if yes, that will be just a turn off.... If anyone ever had seen/read up somewhere on these ideas, do link me up

cheerss...
