    Rear wheel offset measurement needed

I've had my wheels respoked by Hagon a couple of months ago and , knowing the rear wheel uses 3 different spoke lenghts, I understood that it's not an easy job, so I decided to take it to them.
When I got there, the first thing I asked was: "Do you have all the info, including offset on the rear wheel?" - "Yep, not to worry" was the answer.

Well, I'm rebuilding my bike for a month trip soon and I got the wheels in the bike yesterday. Guess what? The bloody wheel is not centered with the frame.

Therefore, I need the exact distance between the rim lip and the swingarm on the disc (right) side from a bike who's wheels are straight, standard untouched OEM, so I can take the wheel back and get it done properly.

    Thanks in advance.

Re: Rear wheel offset measurement needed

I had my wheels rebuilt about twelve months ago by my pals business.

I asked about offset, his answer was " no offset on AT wheels" mine were the third set he'd done. Mine are correct in bike.

I'm happy to measure if it helps.

Re: Rear wheel offset measurement needed

Every information is welcome. I just need to clear this.

Just spoke to Hagon and the tell me there is an offset for the rim.

If we can collect more than one measurement as my lovely drawing shows, maybe we can come to a conclusion.

    Thank you very much, mate

It's called 'dish' on spoked wheel if you want to make sure you are on the same page as them.

Like a pushbike rear wheel, if you look where the cogs are on a pushiron, the wheel/spokes look flatter/shorter than the other side.

If you want to check yourself that it has same/zero dish both sides just measure roughly the distance from the outer edge of the hub at the axle to the spoke flange face. Should be within a mm or two if it has no dish.

I'll go and have a look at my hubs when I get a min.

Well , considering that 1mm thick plate at the end of the tape, I guess 52mm is the right measurement. Thank you very much for your help clearing this up.

Let's see if anyone else confirms this.
