Noisy Facet Fuel Pump

Took the the AT out for a spin today, first time for about 2 months. Have noticed that the facet fuel pump is ticking rather loudly. Iv'e done about 2,000 miles since fitting it. Is this normal?

hi faffia, mine made that noise when not getting enuff fuel the pipe was kinked, and again it happend to tell me to turn to reserve.

As above, sounds like a fuel starvation problem to the pump - I've heard it once or twice before switching to reserve.

Check yer pipe work

Finally had the time to get to the bottom of problem, firstly there was a slight kink in fuel line probably after changing fuel pump, but also the tank was nearly empty so turned onto reserve. Either way problem fixed.
