Hi, me again....
After ordered a R/R online, next was checking what to do with the unreliable fuelpump.
I searched the net and came over this solution:
http://www.africatwin.ru/africafiles...l/fuelpump.pdf
Should work good, should'n it ???
Details:
Clean up the contacts in the fuelpump or get a new rep. set here:
Benzinpumpe Rep-Satz Honda XRV 750 Africa Twin XRV750 bei eBay.de: Markenspezifische Teile (endet 07.03.10 21:01:11 MEZ)
Price Euo 20,95 + shipping
The author says:
To avoid damage to the contact surfaces I have mounted a relay on my bike. The relay takes the 50 watts from the fuelpump contact and the fuelpump contact only supplies the relay with power. Now it is no longer the electrical parts of the fuelpump that decides when it is worn out, it is the mechanical parts from now on. The relay is a ordinary headlight relay that You can buy at the gas station or wherever.
Have anyone tried this and can give feedback ??
Regards
Arf
