    Valve seals

    Is it a MUST taking the heads off for a valve seals replacment?
    If not, am I guessing right that it is doable with motor in place?

    Anyone with tips for that job?

    Do you mean valve stem seals? Why change them? Does it smoke just after start up? For the front cylinder head the engine has to be out....so yes engine out.
